Jan 2006 McArthurglen appoints Eric Decouvelaere group retail director

Effective immediately, McArthurglen UK Ltd. announces the appointment of Eric Decouvelaere to the newly created role of Group Retail Director, a role that will oversee the company's retail strategy and retail operations throughout the UK and Europe.

Mr. Decouvelaere will report into Julia Calabrese, Chief Executive Officer of McArthurGlen.

"We are delighted to have Eric's depth of operational credentials and fully intend to capitalize on his experience in numerous retail concepts in our planning for the future," said Julia Calabrese.

Mr Decouvelaere was more recently with Harrods where he served as Strategy and Business Development Director since July 2003.

He also served as Deputy Buying and Merchandising Director for Printemps (part of the Pinault Printemps Redoute Group), the major French department store chain where he was responsible for reorganising the Buying and Merchandising Division. Earlier, in 1997 he held the post of Buying Director for Dormeuil, renowned worldwide for its collection of luxury fabrics and ready-to-wear brand, where he launched a bespoke concept of men's suits for the firm.

"Given the focus of the McArthurGlen concept and the depth of brands, I am looking forward to playing a pivotal role in the operational strategy and expansion of McArthurGlen further into Europe and beyond," said Mr Decouvelaere.

McArthurGlen is Europe's leading designer outlet developer, owner and operator with 13 villages across the UK, France, Austria, Holland and Italy, featuring 600 top brands in over 1200 stores and 3 million sq feet of gross lettable area, drawing over 50 million visitors each year.
