MCARTHURGLEN APPOINTS MADSEN REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR UK.
McArthurGlen, Europe's leading developer, owner and operator of designer outlet centres, is pleased to announce the appointment of Henrik Madsen effective 4 September 2007, to the newly-created role of Regional Director UK, where he will be responsible for leading the business across the seven UK centres.
The role is a central element of McArthurGlen's new organisational structure, introduced in April'07, which includes the creation of three regional divisions: UK, Northern Europe and Southern Europe. Mr Madsen will be responsible for the perfomance of McArthurGlen's seven UK outlet centres across England, Scotland and Wales.
Danish-born Mr Madsen joins McArthurGlen from him role as Senior Vice President at Kenneth Cole Productions and brings to McArthurGlen an extensive background in the international fashion sector, including experience with IPI Spa Italia- where he was Brand Director for the global launch of Miu Miu- as well as work with French Connection Group Ltd., Kasper Europe Ltd. and Edwin Jeans International.

Mr Madsen will report to McArthurGlen's Chief Executive, Julia Calabrese, who welcomed his appointment: "Henrik brings to McArthurGlen an expeptional understanding of how to maximise brand strengths and an insight of the national retail scene that is sure to be appreciated by our brand partners in the UK with growth plans. His international perspective will contribute much to their strategies in the UK and throughout the McArthurGlen portfolio.
Mr Madsen's appointment completes the senior team in McArthurGlen's Regional Directorship, joining Eric Decouvelaere, Regional Director Northern Europe and Giovanni Galbiati, Regional Director Southern Europe whose appointments were announced in April.
