Discover together with our #MGInsider, Giulia Valentina, the latest fashion trends directly from Milan Fashion Week catwalks
Milan Fashion Week has ended a few days ago presenting the 2017/18 Fall/Winter collection to the public. The city has awakened and hosted guests from all over the world. In some cases we have witnessed a return to the most classic and elegant styles, with Fay’s fashion show giving women the chance of choosing pieces that are destined to become evergreen in their wardrobe, immune to the whims of fashion, and that will accompany them for all of their lives.
Les Copains wanted to keep elegance without renouncing to sensuality, thanks the many transparencies. We saw new entries such as the young Chinese stylist Annakiki, who presented her collection for the first time on the Milanese runway. A surprising style that featured a mix of silver and pink inspired by alien life.
Vivetta presented geometric and imaginative prints with her enchanting collection full of embroidery and precious decorations resembling a circus from the 40’s that will show in a pop up store at La Rinascente.
Genny showed a sophisticated and sexy woman with elegant dresses that featured broad necklines to highlight her forms and beauty.
After the fashion shows the city opened up to events, exhibitions and parties. Milan, full of outstanding buildings and locations, combines fashion and architecture. Vogue presented Vogue Italia’s February issue at Palazzo Serbelloni, a number conceived by Franca Sozzani and realized by Steven Klein, with a party that hosted many celebrities and that ended with a live performance by Fergie.
