Imperial SpA, founded in 1978 by Adriano Aere and Emilia Gilberti, embodies the Italian fast-fashion company. Imperial’s products are entirely made in Italy according to the short-supply chain philosophy. The company has powered double-digit growth over recent years and today has more than 200 employees to develop, make and deliver around 10 million pieces of clothing each year, which it distributes worldwide through a network of direct product distributors in countries such as France, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Cyprus and Hong Kong.

The Bologna-based group owns the Imperial Fashion and Please trade names. Imperial SpA operates a retail network of about 100 stores and has 1500 clients in the multi-brand channel. Ongoing growth in sales led Imperial SpA to buy out womenswear brand Dixie in 2014 with the aim of expanding its target market and increasing its international presence.
