Friday, April 22nd, Saturday 23rd, and Sunday 24th, to celebrate Earth Day, take your children to Barberino Designer Outlet to participate in the free recycling workshops, where they can learn in a fun, playful and interactive way. The activities are organized in collaboration with “Il Vespaio”, a network of professionals who work to promote eco-design and sustainability.
RECYCLING PLASTIC
There will be two plastic recycling machines: children can have fun inserting bottle caps in these machines and ... ta dah! The caps will be transformed into a "Taca Lì", recycled plastic joint with which the children can create an installation that will change continuously throughout the day and will therefore be the fruit of their creativity.
LITTLE ECOLOGICAL WARRIORS
Children will show the team bags, packaging or any other type of waste in their possession and will be asked to throw them into the dedicated recycling bins, each with a different graphic, to educate them on the correct separation of waste and therefore learn how to correctly separate and recycle. Some recycling secrets will also be explained: for example, did you know that receipts shouldn't be thrown in the paper bin? Or that the ceramic mugs don't go into the glass collection?
The little ones will certainly have fun playing the role of "little ecological warriors". Wearing a special jacket, they will go around the Center accompanied by the staff to sensitize adults to the environmental issue, giving them waste to throw in the Centre's trash bins and observing to make sure they have correctly separated their waste. Those who make a mistake will be fined and receive a ticket from the little ones.
