Skinny styles take a backseat for AW20 so ditch the drainpipes in favour of retro cuts and faded fabrics, for a Saturday night fever meets all-American vibe.
Autumn/winter 20 sees denim for him embrace a more laid-back feel with looser-fitting styles coming to the fore and super-tight skinnies out of the frame. This trend towards a less shapely silhouette dominated men’s Fashion Week, with designers including Todd Snyder, Paul Smith and Gucci all embracing wider-legged denim in their collections.
Opt for A-line or slightly flared jeans in light blue hues from the likes of Levi's and Tommy Hilfiger, staying clear of black and grey, which are out for him this season. Diesel blue and navy are acceptable if you like a darker jean but remember to keep the fit loose and baggy. Ripped and/or distressed styles are also fine.
Double denim is back for AW20 but this time coordination is key so stick to matching tones and avoid light and dark pairings. A denim jacket (a key transitional item) lends itself brilliantly to this look, while styles with a shearling collar tie-in with the American Western trend pulling through for men this season. You may have to shop around to find the perfect match but the array of styles offered at Gap, Guess and Levi's is sure to see you right.
