The trend guide: menswear edit

what to wear and what to buy, all for up to 70% less

Spring is finally on the horizon, and with that in mind it’s time to welcome a dose of freshness into your wardrobe. Our SS19 trend guide has all the inspiration for what you should be wearing for the season ahead – and what to buy now, for up to 70% less than the RRP.

SS19 Trends_M Utility

Function is making a statement for spring, with utility-inspired details, pared-back colour palettes and silhouettes seen across outerwear to accessories. The oversized pocket is a mini trend in itself, creating a practical yet bold design feature across parachute-style parka jackets, technical jackets, body warmers and even cargo pants. Look to Antony Morato and Liu Jo Uomo for fluid silhouettes and lightweight fabrics with a sportier feel that can be effortlessly layered – and peeled off – come summer.

SS19 Trends_M Pastel

Lending a softer edge to tailoring, runways were awash with suits in soft sherbet shades of violet, sky blue and rose-petal pink juxtaposed with neutral stone tones. Silhouettes were kept fluid and deconstructed, with wide leg trousers and double-breasted jackets layered over relaxed fit t-shirts. Evoking a subtle sense of minimalism, team the look with a classic white trainer from Liu Jo Uomo, or for a bolder statement as seen at Dior, a fashion sneaker that matches the hue of your suit.

SS19 Trends_M TieDye

Riding the wave of the 90s trend that swept previous seasons, the psychedelic bleach wash print is set to be huge for spring/summer. The reimagination of tie-dye sees a cleaner more contemporary perspective, with softer watercolour marks in neutral tones as an alternative to traditional, vibrant styles. Bohemian yet tailored, pair a tie-dye tee or sweatshirt from Antony Morato or Desigual with loose fit, wide leg trousers or shorts and add an eye-catching accessory to complete the look.
