Spotlight on Denim
If there’s one style constant that can always be counted on it’s denim. AW21 is no exception with jeans
, jackets and denim shirts coming through in a variety of new shapes and shades. Skinny styles continue to give way to looser fits for both him and her, with straight and wide-legged silhouettes the cuts to invest in. Colour is also taking centre stage, with autumnal hues of golden brown and red key for him, and bright pops of yellow, blue and green on-trend for her. Classic blues from the likes of Levi's are also in, while leather look finishes as seen at M&S are another essential investment. For Her
In an echo of AW20, autumn/winter 21 is seeing denim for him take on a laid-back aesthetic with regular cuts continuing to win out over previously favoured super-tight skinnies. Welcome news (no doubt) to anyone who’s embraced the working-from-home wardrobe of joggers and altheisurewear, and is feeling unenthusiastic about swapping stretch for structure.

Opt for wide-legged or A-line jeans from the likes of M&S and Next, staying clear of black, grey and dark blue dyes, which are taking a backseat for him this season.

Double denim is also in style but coordination is the number one rule if you’re going to attempt it. Stick to matching colours, top and bottom, and stay clear of clashing shades. A denim jacket (a key transitional item) is a brilliant way to channel this look, but only if you can find a matching jean in the exact same dye. Start your search at Levi's and Calvin Klein who can always be relied upon for a great selection of denim separates in the latest shapes and colours.
