London Fashion Week

For unexpected edge.

Up second, London Fashion Week sits on the map as the industry’s rebel child. Experimental and unpredictable, designers build their shows on British creativity with controversial political and social commentary against theatrical backdrops around the city. Heralding the future, show highlights include Burberry, Victoria Beckham, Molly Goddard, J.W. Anderson, Margaret Howell and Christopher Kane.

Over the week, the streets of London become a playground for young creatives – both professional and everyday – to soak in the buzz of events and unleash personal expression in the form of curated outfits. Historically, the famous Neoclassical building of Somerset House opened its doors to house the week but in recent years, the city’s plethora of quirky and landmark venues are utilised by various brands to give bigger and more dramatic style performances. Venues have included; 180 Strand, Tate Modern, The National Portrait Gallery and Troubadour Theatre. Outside the shows, flocks of paparazzi pull the shutter to capture the stylish industry names in all their finery – this season, The Insider will be among them to bring you the very best street style of LFW.

Milan Fashion Week

Powerful refinement.

Third stop, Milan! Luxury, glamour and attention to craftsmanship mark this city as the fashion and design capital of Italy. Expect collections that exude sexiness, creative flair, elegance and provocative undertones from key designers such as Prada, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Versace and Gucci.

In a less centralised way than New York and London, MFW sees a breadth of venues for a range of iconic shows. Some designers opt for historic landmarks such as the courtyard of the Castello Sforzesco, the Arco della Pace or the Piazza Duomo are while others repeat presentations in familiar spaces such as Versace’s own House of Versace venue.
