As the fashion crowd took to the streets of Milan, MGInsider and influencer Giulia Valentina was on-hand to take note of the must-have looks for the season, as seen on those who wore it best.

From layering to tweed & tartan, we've rounded up the key street style trends to have on your radar this autumn/winter. Make like the fash pack and add instant glamour with a pop of hyper brights to your wardrobe or layer up with power outerwear from the likes of legendary Italian designers such as Fendi, Prada and Giorgio Armani.

I Bring My Own Sunshine
Forget neutrals and darker palettes that have for so long ruled our autumn/winter wardrobes. This season’s Hyper Brights trend is a welcome breath of fresh air for the new season, with bursts of fluoro from acid green to tangerine bringing zing to pieces from outerwear to separates.

Contrasted with romantic fabrics and ultra feminine details such as ruffles and voluminous silhouettes, this trend comes into a hyper reality of its own. Not feeling quite so adventurous? Add a pop of colour with bright statement jewellery and neon accessories.

Layer-Up
Layering has reached a whole new level for autumn/winter, with knitwear and outerwear reimagined in rich textures and covetable colour palettes that bring both warmth and style.

Chunky knit jumpers from crew neck silhouettes to polo neck styles offset tailored trousers in the finest wool fabrics. Take a cue from the street style set and opt for neutral hues of camel and grey offset with pops of maroon and olive to tie the look together, complete with a voluminous coat loosely layered over the top.
