LFW Street Style Report

Insider | Street Style Trends

Your Insider scoop on the hottest street style trends for the new season, as spotted at London Fashion Week.

At London Fashion Week, it’s just as much about the looks off the runway as it is on it. We headed straight to the beating heart of Britain’s fashion capital to stalk the pavements of the style set and bring you the top trends to wear now.
From statement Burberry checks to luxe layering at Margaret Howell, the best of British were out in force, providing all the inspiration you’ll need for your autumn/winter wardrobe. From Total Blackout to Leopard Print, these are the trends to be seen in this season.

Total Blackout
A simple yet super powerful style statement, we saw FROW-goers elegantly dressed in head-to-toe black. Elevated with liquid-like fabrics such as high shine vinyl and patent leather, the blackout trend borrows hints from gothic styling, juxtaposed with ultra feminine silhouettes.

The key details for the season? Leather outerwear, including longline trench coats and biker jackets instantly create impact, layered over lace and leather bustiers. Stud-embellished accessories and black lace-up boots complete the look, lending a dose of punk-rock.

Call Of The Wild
We’re suckers for animal print, so it’s no surprise that we were delighted to see a parade of leopards on the streets at fashion week.

Consider leopard print the new neutral for the season ahead. Providing the perfect base to build your outfit, make like the street style set and don’t be afraid to layer up the look – we saw jumpsuits and jackets in clashing leopard prints, juxtaposed with pops of bright colour and faux fur fabrics that bring another dimension to the trend.
