In 1856, Etienne Seitz, who was confectioner at Remiremont, founded the spinning mill and the weaving of Namur, in Granges-sur-Vologne. In 1860, he created a spinning at Aumontzey. The cotton industry is launched !
In 1884, following the death of its founder, the company was taken over by his daughter and his son-in-law, Didier Walter, and was renamed “Walter-Seitz”.
Over the years, despite historical events, including vicissitudes of the Second World War, the company is developing and modernizing. It become a reference in the textile industry of the Vosges.
Located at the gates of the natural Park of Ballons des Vosges, we manufacture for over 160 years collections of linens with the same fervor and the same passion.
