Converse

Converse was born in 1908. Originally, the company specialized in making rubber galoshes. It didn’t take long for that same rubber to find its way into their sneakers. In 1920, Converse renamed its canvas basketball sneaker the “All Star.” The name stuck. The original purpose, however, evolved.

At first, they were designed to help players make baskets. But you saw something more in them… and started wearing them for all kinds of things. Playing music, painting, skating through the streets, or simply going out. You turned them into a fashion statement. You wore them to work. You customized them to make them your own.
