McArthurGlen teams up with Nike to encourage kids to get active

McArthurGlen has teamed up with Nike to stage a series of inspirational ‘Nike Sports Days’ for children. This is Nike’s first ever events partnership with a designer outlets group.
Designed to encourage youngsters aged 7-14 to enjoy an active lifestyle, the events are taking place in 10 different McArthurGlen sites in six countries - Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK - until 12 September.
Each free-to-enter event offers children the chance to be assessed by professional trainers for flexibility, endurance and running skills and then participate in a selection of mini-classes in running, street dance and body workout. Upon completing the classes, kids receive an official diploma and a goody bag.
Nike, which retails in a total of 18 McArthurGlen outlets throughout Europe with its Nike Factory Stores, is providing professional trial zones where their Flex trainers can be tested.
Shaeren McKenzie, Group Marketing Director of McArthurGlen, said: “We’re very proud to be raising awareness amongst our younger customers of the benefits of an active lifestyle.
