THE MUST-SEES

La Piscine

Created in 1922, as part of the hygienist movement, with a sports pool, a 50m Olympic pool, a public bath-shower establishment, around a garden, La Piscine opened its doors as a Museum of Art and Industry in 2001. You will be seduced by its Art Deco style architecture, which highlights its textile collections dating from antiquity to contemporary creation, ceramics, sculptures and works from the 19th and 20th centuries (Camille Claudel, Henri Fantin-Latour, Jean-Léon Gérôme, Dominique Ingres, Tamara de Lempicka, Kees van Dongen...).
Enjoy a moment of relaxation in its restaurant and tea room of the Méert house, a real institution for all gourmets!



La Condition Publique

Initially a wool, silk and cotton packaging warehouse, La Condition Publique was rehabilitated as a cultural venue in 2003. This establishment consists of a performance hall, an exhibition space, rehearsal stages, creative or workshop spaces, laboratories and offices, and rooftop terraces, offering a breathtaking view of this popular and authentic district.
Take part in the artistic events in its covered street and take a break in the estaminet, restaurant or bazaar at your disposal.
La Manufacture

Housed in the former buildings of the company Craye et fils, specialized in furniture weaving, La Manufacture will make you discover the know-how, machines and tools of textile production. Exhibiting looms dating from the Middle Ages, still in operation, to sophisticated and computerized looms of the contemporary world, you will immerse yourself in the world of spinning, thanks to the testimonies of former workers, and archive videos.
This atypical place, hosting temporary exhibitions, also has an information role on the future and innovative research of this sector.
La Villa Cavrois

A historic monument since 2020, Villa Cavrois was the home of the rich textile industrialist, Paul Cavrois, commissioned from the renowned architect Robert Mallet-Stevens.

Modernist dwelling, both in its architecture and in the materials used, you will be immersed in a family and futuristic atmosphere, thanks to the modern and rare equipment at the time (electricity, telephone ...) and the simple and functional furniture.

Vibrate with sport

Stab Vélodrome

Arrival of the mythical cycling race Paris -Roubaix, the city of Roubaix acquires a covered velodrome in 2012, named after the former rider Jean Stablinski.

This equipment consists of a 250 m long, 7 m wide cycling track and 44.3° inclined bends, an outdoor BMX (Cyclo-cross) track, 2 badminton courts located on the central area of the track and a weight and fitness room.

It hosts many sporting events including the European Masters Track Championships in 2017 and the Track Worlds in 2021. Make a detour to this high place of cycling and the city of Roubaix!
