McArthurGlen, in partnership with Sonae Sierra, will bring the very first designer outlet in southern Spain in 2019. Located next to Plaza Mayor, the city’s most visited shopping centre with more than 10 million visitors, McArthurGlen Málaga will provide guests with a unique retail experience and become a tourist shopping destination.
Architecture and design
The centre’s design features McArthurGlen’s signature open-air style and reflects the local Andalusian architecture, with landscaped walkways, a central luxury plaza, restaurants and cafés and a wonderful children's playground.
Phases of construction
The €140 million project is being developed in two phases: Phase I will be home to 100 stores in 17,750m2 of retail space, including some of the most sought-after brands in luxury and premium fashion. Phase II will take the total to 170 stores and 30,000m2.
