Highway improvements

As part of our £15 million highway improvements programme, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands will deliver a new dual carriageway along Eastern Way, between Lichfield Road and Hayes Way, which will help alleviate any anticipated congestion. In addition to the proposed northbound carriageway, there will be a signal-controlled roundabout at Eastern Way/Lichfield Road, which will include a signalised crossing at Eastern Way.

The development will also include improvements to each junction between Lichfield Road and the M6 Toll,  ensuring that roads leading to and from the site operate smoothly when the centre opens.

Better pedestrian routes and cycle ways will be introduced within the nature reserve, together with an improved pedestrian/cyclist shared path along Eastern Way.
