We are delighted to announce that McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands will officially open to customers on Monday 12th April 2021 at 10am, when non-essential retail re-opens in England.
We are extremely proud to bring this extraordinary project to life with two of our long-standing joint venture partners, Aviva Investors and the Richardson family, and deliver the only stand-alone shopping centre to open in the UK this year.
The highly-anticipated opening comes more than 20 years on from our last new centre opening in the UK, and it is the seventh British designer outlet in the McArthurGlen portfolio.
Situated just 30 minutes from Birmingham, Designer Outlet West Midlands is the UK’s newest major fashion destination having opened April 2021, bringing together up to 80 iconic brands such as Coach, Kate Spade, Hugo Boss, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and many more.

Playground
We have introduced a one-of-a-kind children’s playground that gives young people the space to discover their local environment and experience nature.
Designed by world-renowned landscape architects, Carve, the play area provides our youngest guests with a huge range of activities to immerse themselves in – whether they want an adventure or to just unwind in nature.
Sculpture
The centre’s proximity to the picturesque Mill Green Nature Reserve has provided an excellent source of inspiration, particularly for local award-winning artist, Mark Richards, who has created a bespoke piece of artwork for our central piazza. Standing 2.65m high, the bronze sculpture depicts two majestic geese taking flight in an elegant yet intimate reference to the neighbouring nature reserve.
Solar Panels
To utilise more sustainable energy sources, the centre has nearly 190 square metres of active solar panels.
On-Site Features
On-site beehives, a wormery, electric car charging points and bicycle parking have been installed to create a greener, more sustainable retail destination that’s fit for the future.
Safer Shopping
We have introduced wide-ranging safety measures that are in line with the latest guidance from the British government and we’re pleased to say the centre will be Bureau Veritas Covid-19 Safeguard certified on opening.
Come and visit us
Unfortunately, due to social distancing measures, we have had to postpone our ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the centre.
