The history of the brand

In 1948, Rudolf Dassler founded "Puma Schuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler" in his hometown of Herzogenaurach, Germany.

Beginning with just 14 employees, they placed the founding stone in what would become the world capital of modern sportswear.

Today, PUMA is still proudly based in Dassler’s hometown and carries on his legacy of pushing sportswear design and innovation forward.

Our brand’s history consists of 75 years of firsts, onlys, sporting moments, and human achievements.
