International Women's Day

Brighter Together

In a year that’s been anything but ordinary here’s to the women who have proven that anything is possible.

International Women's Day

We are honored and delighted to have partnered with local artist, Debra Sparrow. Born and raised on the Musqueam Indian Reserve, Debra is an acclaimed Musqueam weaver, artist and knowledge keeper. She is self-taught in Salish design, weaving, and jewellery making. Her Musqueam blankets are displayed at the Vancouver Airport, and at UBC. She also designed the logo for the Canadian Men’s Hockey Team for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C.

She has designed this beautiful mask with patterns representative of the Musqueam peoples who have thrived on our lands since the beginning of time. They reflect the textiles used for wearing, for gifting and most importantly ceremony.

Join us on Monday, March 8th and receive a complimentary mask to celebrate International Women's Day. Please visit Guest Services at the main entrance to pick up your mask featuring this one-of-a-kind design by Debra Sparrow.*
