Where should you eat in Roermond?
Whether you are looking for a casual late lunch or high-end dining, Roermond has an abundance of delicious options. For a true fine-dining experience and a taste of modern Dutch cuisine, book a table at the Michelin star Restaurant One, located in an old inn in one of Roermond’s oldest neighbourhoods. The character of the old historical building has been brought to life as one of the areas most esteemed restaurants. Loved by locals as well as visitors, book a table to indulge in their famous market or tasting menu offering an exquisite 6-8 courses – or choose to dine from their a la carte menu, either way we highly recommend starting your meal with one of Bethany’s signature cocktails.

Things to do in Roermond 
For the adventurous, take to the waters and beaches of the Maasplassen, a mecca for water sports lovers and the largest network of lakes in the whole of the Netherlands. From boating to windsurfing – and everything in between – it’s the place to go to experience a whole host of outdoor activities. With its sandy beaches and vibrant beach cafes and bars, wildlife and waters, the Maasplassen is one of the most beautiful and popular locations in all Roermond 
Not too far from Roermond you’ll find the largest city of the province of Limburg, Maastricht. The impressive city is famous for its medieval-era architecture, charming cobbled streets and its Vrijthof square – where Andre Rieu performs his annual concert, which is broadcast live all over the world. It has a beautiful inner city, with great shopping, and the Muese river runs through it, lined perfectly with traditionally tall Dutch buildings creating the perfect back drop for those holiday photos. There’s also plenty of nice hotels, swanky bars and local food to try. 
Stepping back outdoors, the Maastricht and South Limburg area is a magnet for Dutch visitors as it’s the only hilly part of the Netherlands, with the rest of the country being notoriously flat. Famed for its hiking and vast natural beauty, it’s a great place to visit for a day out in the great outdoors, Dutch style. The Burgundian way of living ripples through both areas - with plenty of fine food and drink on offer to sample, and its the place to go to enjoy a traditional Limburgse Vlaai cake, with a fresh coffee in the morning.
