McArthurGlen Castel Romano Designer Outlet celebrates its 20th Anniversary with the exhibition of Claudio Porcarelli, photographer of cinema, television and entertainment’ stars, paying homage to Italy and the bigger icons who have forged the collective imagination and the timeless beauty and style of our country.
Each shot tells the personality portrayed, and opens up to a more universal meaning through the immortalized aesthetic choices, which affect Italian fashion and its codes over the last 20 years. The classics of the men's and women's wardrobe, the use of fabrics, the model and cut, the combination of accessories: the exhibition offers an exhaustive and exciting overview of the garments making our country so famous in the world.
The jacket that becomes a shirt in a romantic Claudia Gerini or the wonderful tailored suit of Marco Bocci, the cocktail dress worn by Sabrina Ferilli inspired by Italian famme fatale myth or the contrasting clothes’ textures choosen by a romantic and exuberant Patty Pravo, are just some example of infinite possibilities and combinations of fashion and style.

CLAUDIO PORCARELLI
The photographer of the stars
Claudio Porcarelli, born in 1956, inherited his father's passion for photography and began his career as a photojournalist for Roma Press Photo, the agency founded by Sergio Spinelli and Tazio Secchiaroli that created the myth of the Dolce Vita. in 1998 he opened his own studio in Rome and since then he has drawn over 1000 covers and publications in Italian and foreign newspapers, record covers, movie posters and advertising campaigns.
He has been awarded numerous prizes, including the MAMIYA D'ORO in 1990 and the ROMA FASHION for lifetime achievement in 2012. He is represented by the historic Grazia Neri photo agency and his work has been distributed by Photomovie since 2009.
He is one of the most famous performers in the world of cinema and entertainment, the reference photographer of many Italian show business personalities such as Adriano Celentano, Patty Pravo and Christian De Sica, to name a few.
In collaboration with Carlo Verdone, in 2019 he published Uno, dieci, cento Verdone: a gallery of portraits of the characters played by the director in his 40-year career and a document of their thirty-year friendship.
