New York Fashion Week
Atheleisure...but make it fashion
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is known for its cool and youthful vibe. It’s perhaps the most commercial of the The Big Four and casual and sports luxe styles are especially prevalent. Show highlights include Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Alexander Wang, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. This fashion week is first on the calendar and it took place last weekend. Editors are now on their way to London as we speak!
London Fashion Week
SS20
The youngest out of the Big Four, London Fashion Week (LFW) has an edgy, open and experimental reputation. It’s often considered as the industry’s rebel child, thanks to its designers using the runways to make theatrical and political statements - global warming and sustainability are the current hot topics. From the 12th-17th September, London’s leading designers will showcase their latest collections with show highlights including Burberry, Christopher Kane, Victoria Beckham, Margaret Howell, Paul Costelloe and J.W.Anderson.
Somerset House is the home of British fashion. You only need to google ‘London Fashion Week street style’ and you’ll see the famed Neoclassical building. In recent years the venue for fashion week has moved up the road to 180 Strand into a more modern and compact venue. Many brands decide to showcase in this space but others go the extra mile and present in exclusive or even custom built venues. One thing is certain, paparazzi and flocks of street style photographers will be waiting on the streets to catch fashion editors and celebrities (Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Jourdan Dunn, David Beckham and Lara Stone are LFW regulars) as they leave the shows. The Insider will be among them, looking out for the best street style LFW has to offer.

Next stop - Milano! The shows at Milan Fashion Week (MFW), held between 17th and 23rd September, are known for their craftsmanship, glamour and luxurious feel. Collections usually have sexy and provocative undertones and street style is no exception. Standout shows include Prada, Bottega Veneta, Moschino, Fendi, Versace, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.
MFW is much less centralised than LFW and NYFW. Many brands use existing show spaces (Versace often showcases at the House of Versace in the via Montenapoleone fashion district) or they can convert choice locations for their show’s needs. Many shows take place in historic outdoor landmarks, such as the courtyard of the Castello Sforzesco (a 15th century castle), the Arco della Pace (the triumphal arch situated in Parco Sempione), and at the Piazza Duomo (Milan’s central square).
We’ve got you covered. The Insider will team up with influencer @GiuliaValentina to bring you the finest street style ensembles from MFW.

Paris Fashion Week (PFW) is the pinnacle of the fashion calendar. PFW is renowned for its creativity, elegance and artistic nature and is the home to powerhouses Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Lacoste and Dior. Many industry professionals prioritise this fashion week above all.
The Insider team will roam the streets of Paris from 23rd September to 1st October. The majority of events take place at the Carrousel du Louvre but the big guns tend to exhibit at iconic Parisienne locations such as the Espace Eiffel or the Grand Palais. Très chic!
