Open-Air Museum Molfsee
Shortly before Kiel, the "Freilichtmuseum Molfsee" (open-air museum) offers a special excursion into the cultural history of Schleswig-Holstein. On a spacious area between small woods and meadows a variety of historic buildings has been reconstructed - from farmhouses with gardens to windmills - from the 16th to the 20th century, from very different regions of the state. The modern exhibition and entrance building, the "Jahr100Haus", impresses with its steel architecture, which is reminiscent of thatched roofs. Inside there is an exhibition of everyday objects which can be viewed before the open-air site invites visitors to take a walk of discovery. Along the way, while walking next to barns, workshops and residential buildings or admire their rooms from the inside, you can learn a lot about the working life in rural Schleswig-Holstein in past centuries. The open-air museum also regularly hosts markets and other events take place there throughout the year.
Antik-Hof Bisee
There are many historic farm estates in the rural land of Schleswig-Holstein. Many of those have been reclaimed and given a second life as event locations, restaurant businesses and hotels. Antik-Hof Bissee is the perfect destination for everyone who loves an idyllic and picturesque landscape, wants to recharge and enjoy themselves to the fullest.
