Pride Cymru & McArthurGlen Bridgend

PRIDE CYMRU is a volunteer-led charity that works to promote the elimination of discrimination be it on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, disability or impairment.

They are committed to campaigning for equality and acceptance of diversity within our communities. Pride Cymru recognise and celebrate the contributions made by LGBT+ people in society and they continue their work to create opportunities for LGBT+ people around Wales to connect and support each other.

Every year, Pride Cymru host a festival to celebrate and bring people together, in Cardiff City Centre and this year looks to be the best yet! The celebration starts with a parade through the city followed by the Festival lineup which covers 2 stages over 2 days of jam packed performances from a mix of big names and local talent.

For 2024, we are thrilled to be sponsoring Pride Cymru and to celebrate we will be walking in the parade on Saturday 22nd June, in Cardiff City Centre.
We are delighted to be supporting such a great festival and most importantly, such a vital charity within our local community - So why not come along and celebrate Pride with us for 2024!

Have you seen us?🌈

To celebrate Pride at McArthurGlen Bridgend, we have decorated the centre - as well as our Rainbow bench, we have painted our roof and doors near Wagamama and it looks fabulous!
Why not tag us in your selfies around the centre @mcarthurglenbridgend.

As well, throughout June we are hosting giveaways across all of our social media channels so keep your eyes peeled to enter.

Icons & Allies is Pride Cymru's highly popular exhibition on Welsh LGBTQ+ historical figures.

Originally created in 2017 for LGBTQ+ History Month, Icons & Allies offers 20 portraits with accompanying text in Welsh and English of people who have helped shape Wales.

They range from writers to politicians, from preachers to sailors and mining activists. The central thread is that they were (or in a couple of cases still are) people who should be better known as either LGBTQ+ themselves, or great allies in creating positive changes in Welsh society for LGBTQ+ people.

You can view the exhibition in centre, outside Ted Baker & Barbour, or take a look at it online with Pride Cymru.
